August 28, 2012

The books listed below are some of my favorite books on Atheism, religion, and even Evolution.

common sense, and the bible to disprove god.

With a close and erudite reading of the major religious texts, he documents the ways in which
religion is a man-made wish

The End of Faith: Religion, Terror, and the Future of Reason

Harris offers a vivid historical tour
of mankind’s willingness to suspend reason
in favor of religious beliefs, even when
those beliefs are used to justify harmful behavior and sometimes-heinous crimes.

The Portable Atheist: Essential Readings for the Nonbeliever

Christopher Hitchens continues to make
the case for a splendidly godless universe
in this first-ever gathering of the influential
voices–past and present–that have shaped
his side of the current (and raging) God/no-god debate.

The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution

The Greatest Show on Earth is a stunning
counterattack on advocates of “Intelligent
Design,” explaining the evidence for evolution while exposing the absurdities
of the creationist “argument.”
